the eventsMBA Program Details

A shared and interactive experience.

So how does the eventsMBA work? It works in the same way a 100m Olympic relay swim does; fast, with each individual contributing their best and with success only possible when the whole team delivers.

The eventsMBA is an online course that runs over a period of 4 weeks. During that time you'll complete 8 different projects - a mix of both individual and team pursuits. 

The project cycle follows the same pattern each week with 2 new projects released each Monday. We explain and discuss the projects in a group webinar on the Monday night after which you get together with your assigned learning group to discuss how you will tackle the task. When the projects are due you upload them to the event school portal seeking peer reviews of your work. To complete the learning cycle we then ask you to reflect on your own efforts during the week.

Sample Project Cycle

Mondays:

  • Project 1 & 2 details & reading released on email, 6.30am

  • Webcast and Q & A on Project 1 & 2, 7pm

Tuesdays:

  • Project 1 submitted, by 11.59pm

Wednesdays:

  • Peer review of Project 1 due

Thursdays:

  • Your reflection on Project 1 due 

Sundays:

  • Project 2 submitted, by 11.59pm

Mondays:

  • Project 3 & 4 details & reading released on email, 6.30am

  • Peer review of Project 2 due 12pm

  • Your reflection on Project 2 due 6pm

Curriculum

The eventsMBA course is structured into 8 modules delivered over 4 weeks.

 

The program is designed to build your confidence, influence and knowledge to perform and make a noticeable difference at the very top level of the event industry.

 

The eventsMBA program is suitable for experienced event professionals including full-time employees who are middle to senior managers, specialist individuals or contractors and rising managers. Participants have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
